Maintenant que la grève est terminée, tout va comme prévu pour le congrès conjoint. Le programme sera affiché sur le site Web (https://event.fourwaves.com/100dialogues/pages) le 15 avril.

En ce qui concerne l’inscription, les membres de l’ACBM qui ne font pas de présentation, mais qui souhaitent y assister en présentiel ou virtuellement doivent s’inscrire comme membres du public. Des renseignements sur les frais d’inscription ont été inclus dans l’appel à propositions lancé en novembre dernier. La structure des frais d’inscription a été déterminée en fonction de l’accessibilité et de l’inclusion à l’esprit des associations participantes.

With the strike now over, everything is moving forward as planned regarding the joint conference. The program will be posted on the website (https://event.fourwaves.com/100dialogues/pages) on April 15.

Regarding registration, members of CAML who are not presenting but wish to attend either in-person or virtually are to register as members of the public. Information regarding registration fees was included in the call for proposals that went out last November. The registration fee structure was determined with accessibility and inclusion at front of mind by the participating associations.

Subject: Conférence et AGA 2023 de l'ACBM / CAML Conference and AGM 2023

Nous nous excusons du retard dans la communication de l’information sur la conférence à venir. Nos activités auront lieu les 19 et 20 mai, et l’AGA aura lieu le 20 mai à midi. Notre conférencière principale, Laurel Forshaw (Défis, possibilités et responsabilités : efforts d’indigénisation dans l’enseignement supérieur de la musique canadienne), est prévue pour 11 h le 19 mai dans le cadre de la plénière. Nous attendons un horaire officiel du comité organisateur. Comme vous le savez peut-être déjà, les professeurs  et professeures de l’Université Laval sont en grève générale indéfinie. Pendant ce temps, le personnel de coordination et de communication de l’université fait tout son possible pour finaliser la planification et maintenir les dates de la conférence, mais on demande aux associations participantes de garder à l’esprit que cela pourrait changer. L’inscription à la conférence, qui devait ouvrir le 20 mars, a été reportée pour le moment.

Nous avons demandé dès le début de la planification que toutes les présentations de l’ACBM ainsi que notre AGA soient en mode hybride et à notre connaissance ce sera le cas

Our apologies for the delay in communicating information about the upcoming conference. Our events will be taking place on May 19 and 20, with our AGM on May 20 at noon. Our keynote speaker, Dr. Laurel Forshaw (Challenges, Possibilities, and Responsibilities: Indigenization Efforts within Canadian Higher Music Education), is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on May 19 as part of the plenary. We are awaiting a formal schedule from the organizing committee. As you may already be aware, professors at Laval University are on an indefinite general strike. During this time, coordination support and communications staff at the university are doing their utmost to move forward in finalizing the planning and maintaining the dates of the conference, however, participating associations are being asked to keep in mind that this could change. Registration to the conference, which was to have opened on March 20, has been postponed for the time being.

We did request at the outset of planning that all of CAML’s presentations as well as our AGM be in hybrid mode and to our knowledge this will be the case.

We will provide updates as they become available. You can also visit the conference site (https://event.fourwaves.com/100dialogues/pages) for this purpose.
