APPEL À COMMUNICATIONS

Les chapitres de la Nouvelle-Angleterre (NEMLA) et de l'État de New York / Ontario (NYSO), de l'Association des bibliothèques de musique (MLA) ainsi que le chapitre du Québec de l'Association des bibliothèques, archives et centres de documentation musicaux (SQACBM) vous invitent dès maintenant à proposer une communication ou une affiche pour notre rencontre cet automne qui aura lieu à l'Université McGill, Montréal, Québec les 8 et 9 novembre 2018. Nous aurons aussi le plaisir d'y rencontrer le Comité de direction de la MLA qui se joindra à nous lors de ce congrès international. Soyez informés que les participants en provenance des États-Unis devront être munis de leur passeport.

Le comité organisateur vous invite donc dès maintenant à proposer une communication ou une affiche sur un sujet qui intéressera les membres des différents chapitres et de leurs circonscriptions (expériences, réflexions, études de cas, recherches, projets, etc.) en lien avec la musique et la profession.

Les présentations, d'une durée de 35 minutes (incluant la période de questions) pourront être communiquées en français ou en anglais. N'hésitez pas à nous informer si vous avez besoin d'une durée plus longue pour votre présentation. Votre proposition devra inclure:

·         Nom et affiliation
·         Langue de présentation (anglais ou français)
·         Coordonnées (courriel et téléphone)
·         Titre de la présentation ou de l'affiche
·         Résumé de 100-200 mots (le programme comprendra les résumés dans les deux     langues, les traductions seront faites par le comité organisateur)
·         Matériel requis autre qu'un ordinateur, accès internet, projecteur et haut-parleurs

Veuillez acheminer vos propositions par courriel au membre du comité de programme de votre section (ou chapitre) en indiquant en objet du message: Conférence conjointe automne 2018 - Proposition.

La date butoir pour l'envoi des propositions est le 1er août 2018. Les présentateurs seront avisés de la décision du Comité de programme le 15 août 2018.

REMINDER

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The New England (NEMLA) and New York State/Ontario Chapters (NYSO) of the Music Library Association, together with the Québec Chapter of <http://www.yorku.ca/caml/drupal/> the Canadian Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (SQACBM), are now accepting panel, poster, and presentation proposals for our fall meeting at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec on November 8 and 9, 2018. We are pleased to announce that the MLA Board of Directors will also be joining us for this international conference. Please be advised that attendees from the U.S. will need a passport to attend.

We welcome submissions explaining and raising awareness of your recent projects, research, innovations, discoveries, etc., relating to music and to the profession of music librarianship - anything that you think would benefit Chapter members and their constituencies.

Presentations should be 35 minutes in length (including questions period). Please indicate if additional time is requested, subject to approval. Proposals must include:
·         Name(s) and affiliation(s) of presenters/panelists
·         Presentation language (English or French)
·         Contact information (e-mail and telephone number)
·         Title of presentation/panel
·         An abstract of 100-200 words
·         Any additional equipment required beyond a computer, Internet access, projector, and speakers

Please send proposals via e-mail to any member of the program committee, using the subject line: "Joint Conference Fall 2018 Proposal."

The proposal deadline is Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Accepted presenters will be notified of their status by August 15, 2018.
